Vaughn, Arthur R. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Rainbow Memorial Cemetery for Arthur R. Vaughn, 96, Gadsden, who died Fri. Nov. 29, 1996. The Rev. Hollis Preston will officiate. Morgan Funeral Chapel is in charge. Mr. Vaughn was a native and lifelong resident of Etowah County. He was a Gospel music songwriter and teacher. He was the past president of the Etowah County Singers Association. He was gifted at playing musical instruments. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kitye Vaughn. He is survived by his son, Arthur Vaughn, Jr., and daughter-in-law, Betty Vaughn, both of Homestead, Fla.; grandchildren, Robert Vaughn, Joe Vaughn and Tamara Vaughn, all of Florida, and great-grandchild, Cierra Vaughn. Pallbearers will be Euwel Nesmith, Rev. Bobby Burkett, Bill Hale, Dottis Elliott and Fred Elliott. The family will receive friends at the funeral home until the hour of service.
