Canandaigua Daily Messenger, July 18, 1973:
Arthur C. Wheat Arthur C. Wheat, 63, of 399 S. Main St., died today. He was a native of Harlwick, N.Y. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Salphine Wheat; four sons, William R. of Rochester, Curtis A., Douglas A. and Donald H., all of Canandaigua. He also leaves three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Joyce) Cook of Worcester, Mass., Mrs. David (Corliss) Trumbull of Canandaigua, and Betsy M. Wheat, at home; six grandchildren; one great- grandchild; three aunts and one uncle. He was a graduate of Lockport High School and had lived in Rochester several years before coming to Canandaigua in 1949. For the past eight years he had worked for Doyle Detective Agency in Rochester and was in charge of security at the Xerox plant in Henrietta. Friends may call at the Kennedy and Son Funeral Home tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
