MEMORIAL PHOTOS 2 FLOWERS 0 Arvil Kester “Boots” Lusk, 90, passed away Friday, November 25, 2005, in a Charleston hospital.

Born August 18, 1915, at Cyclone, he was the son of the late Elmer "Hayes" Lusk (1896-Deceased) and Orpha J. Brown-Lusk (1897-Deceased). In addition to his parents, his wife, Ettie Pearl Osborne-Lusk (1919-Deceased) whom he married on August 10, 1935 in Cyclone, Wyoming County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Wyoming County, WV, 1935, Page 125, Application Date: August 8, 1935); a daughter, Shirley Lusk (Deceased); three brothers, Shelly Lusk (1924-Deceased), Andrew "Andy" Claren Lusk (1930-Deceased) and Joseph "Joe" C. Lusk Sr. (1931-2001); and two sisters, Dorothy Lusk-Brown (1918-Deceased) and Elsie M. Lusk-Bailey (1920-2002), preceded him in death.

Mr. Lusk was a faithful member of Bright Prospect Baptist Church. He was an avid gardener and hunter.

Survivors include two sons, Elmer "Lanta" Lusk (B. 1939) and his wife, Donna Christine Cook-Lusk (B. 1943) of Cyclone and Wendell Grady Lusk (1941-2014) of Beckley; two daughters, Jackie J. Lusk-Helmandollar (B. 1952) and her husband, Russell Lee Helmandollar (B. 1953), of Cyclone and Ella Jean Lusk-Shields (1942-2008) and her husband, Carlton Shields (1927-2006), of Cyclone; thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Bright Prospect Baptist Church with the Rev. Jackie Lusk, the Rev. Roger Stewart and Deacon Tony Haught officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery, Cyclone.
