Evidently Asa Toland had been married before. I can't find whether he and Pellie had children together or not.

1st wed martha Ann P. McDaniels on Jan 13, 1850 Monroe Co. GA They had two daughters, Josephine b abt 1843 Ga and Nancey b abt Mar 1858 Ga.

He 2nd wed Pelatiah Mann on July 14, 1869 Clayton Co. GA

Asa P. Toland married first to Martha Ann P. McDaniel who was born ca 1834, died pre 1869 when Asa married Pelatiah Mann, 14 July 1869 in Clayton Co. Asa was in 1850 census in Dooly Co GA; in 1860 and 1870 census in Clayton Co and in 1880 and 1900 census in Fulton Co GA. The children were born to the first marriage: Josephine (b ca 1851 and unmarried at least to 1880); Leonadas J. (b ca 1856); Nancy A/Nannie (b ca 1858 - unmarried to 1900 at least) and a unknown female (who was born ca 1860). Would be delighted to correspond with any descendants of the Asa Toland/Martha Ann McDaniel line. Or from the brother Thysis Toland who married Martha's sister Nancy Ann McDaniel.
