Mr August Kupsch, senr. who passed away at Northern Gully on the 11th inst was in Australia 62 years. He came to Australia in 1856, and resided in South Australia for 48 years, coming to West Australia with his sons in 1904. He lived with his daughter, Mrs Marchant, at the 9 mile on the Northampton line for about four months, and then removed to Northern Guliy, where he lived with his youngest son until his death, the cause being influenza, at the age of 88 years. Though he had been very feeble the last 12 months, his death was a shock to his friends an relatives as he was only ill for a week. He leaves an aged widow, three sons, three daughters, 40 grand children, and numerous great grand children.
