August Miszewski

THE LUDINGTON DAILY NEWS, (FRIDAY, JULY 30 1926) - FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR AUGUST MISZEWSKI FOUNTAIN, Mich, July 30 - Funeral services for August Miszewski were held from St. Mary's Roman Catholic church in Custer this morning. He was buried in Custer cemetery beside his wife who passed away 11 years ago. Mr. Miszewski died Wednesday morning at Traverse City hospital. The body was brought to the home of this daughter, Mrs. Vincent Wichtoski,east of Fountain, Thursday noon. He was born in Poland Sept 26 1840. When 49 years of age he came to Chicago, two years later sending for his wife and 11 children. That summer they came to Sherman township, buying a farm two miles south of Fountain. Of Mr. Miszewski's 11 children, three sons, Paul, Joe and Phillip all of Muskegon and on daughter, Mrs. Vincent Wichtoski of Fountain, survive. BIOGRAPHY: Migrated from Poland, then to Chicago. Had a brother that also migrated to Chicago and then to Wisconsin.
