Union is on the south side of the Hood Canal, near the bend in Hood Canal. Hood Canal is a wide river (not a Canal) between Puget Sound (the bay west of Seattle) and the Olympic mountains. Bremerton Highway must be the highway (State Route 106) going from there to Bremerton. It's a beautiful drive along the water. Mason County is between Kitsap county (where Bremerton is) and Gray Harbor County. This makes the death in Gray Harbor County seem more possible. If he was a contractor, he could move from place to place as needed.
