About Austin James Ford
Detached from Elijah Ford, of Massachusetts. Makes no sense. He can't have been born in Fauquier, VA to parents who stayed their whole lives in New England. [Hatte Blejer, June 2020]

Austin Ford was born around 1790 in Fauquier, Co., Virginia. He served in the War of 1812 and married Jane Allison of the same place. Allison's were a prominent family in the area. Of their children, John Wesley Ford, was born on Jan 22, 1822 in that place. Later the family moved to Missouri where both Austin and Jane died and are buried. Biography furnished by direct descendant, Tamela Allison-Heim
His birth date is unknown. His death date is July 1841 in Clark County, Mo. He was killed by Robert E Lee, a cousin of the famous general. The grave stone in Bethel Cem., Clay county is of his wife, Jane Allison Ford. She died on the date given and is buried there. Some believe that Austin body was removed from Clark Co and moved to be beside his wife. They had ten children. John Wesley Ford was among them. He is my g-g-grandfather. Another child was James Thomas Ford, father of Robert Newton Ford who killed Jesses James. I have sources for all of this. If you would like more, let me know.
