Azariah DARBEE was born in Vermont in 1762. His wife, Susan PHELPS, was born in 1761. They came to Dayton in 1817 and cleared a farm in the western part of the town, where their deaths occurred Aug. 18, 1851, and Jan. 28, 1840, respectively. Their children were Chester, Susanna, Aurilla, Azariah, Olive, Clarissa, Celia, and Henry.
