Barbara ann Bender

Native of Lititz Dies in Chicago. Mrs. Barbara Bender, for the past eighteen years a resident of Chicago, died at the home of her son, David, at that place, on Saturday morning, aged seventy-seven years. Death was due to the infirmities of her advanced age, superinduced by the fracture of a hip .sustained some' months ago. She was born in Lititz, a daughter of the late Samuel Groff, and resided at Intercourse and Rose ville until about eighteen years ago, when at the death of her husband she moved to Chicago, where she made her home with her son. Deceased was a member of the Baptist Church, and is survived by the following children: David, Miss Anna, and Weidler, all of Chicago; Mrs. Cora L. Doner, of Lancaster; also these brothers and sisters: Israel Groff, of Lancaster; Elias Groff, of New Holland; Miss Leah and Samuel Groff, of Lancaster. The body was brought to the home of her son-in-law, Roland B. Doner at Lancaster, from where the funeral was held on Monday noon, with services and interment at the Groff dale Church.
