Barbara B. Currie

Barbara (West) Currie, 92, a long time Dover resident was called home to the Lord on Sunday September 1, 2019 at the Edgewood Center in Portsmouth.
Born August 13, 1927 in West Kingston NH, she was the daughter of the late Henry West and Blanche (Brickett) West. She was a graduate of Sanborn Seminary in Kingston, NH.
Barbara worked as a Contract Negotiator for the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard. After retirement, she continued working at the University of New Hampshire for 10 years.
Her hobbies included Cooking, Playing Bingo and spending time with Family and Friends.
She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Charles, her son in law, Stephen Gaulin, a sister and four brothers. Survivors include her three daughters; Peg Currie and her wife Priscilla, Mary Gaulin, Jean Dalton and her husband Zoe, her grandchildren, Kimberly Gaulin (Jeffrey) Rosenberger, Laurie Gaulin, Angela Dalton (Garry) Whitley, Amy Dalton (William) DeBord, Casey Dalton, and Mollie Kate Dalton. Eight great grandchildren, all of whom she dearly loved.
Funeral services will be held on Friday September 6, 2019 at 11am at Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral Home, 655 Central Ave. Dover, NH. Burial will follow at the New St. Mary’s Cemetery in Dover.
