Barbara Ann Prost was born circa 1785 in Washington County, Virginia and died on Jun 18, 1868 in Washington County, Indiana about the age of 83.

    She married Nicholas Hubbard in 1800 in Orange County, Virginia.  He was born in 1778 in Pennsylvania and died in 1844 about the age of 66 in Washington County, Indiana.  He was the son of Peter Hubbard and Juliana --.

The 1850 U. S. census for Indiana, Washington County, Washington Township, Roll M432_179, page 672, line 2, shows Barbara A. Hubbard, 65, living in the Adam Cauble household, listed on the previous page (line32, dwelling 236, family 248). Adam Cauble was her daughter Mary's husband. Barbara A. was shown as born in Virginia, unable to read and write.
She was not listed with any of her youngest four children in the 1860 census.
Barbara was buried next to her husband in the Crown Hill Cemetery, Salem, Washington, County, Indiana. Cemetery information reflects "Barbara Ann Prost Hubbard, 1868." From the courthouse, the cemetery is located by going west on West Market Street five blocks to the intersection of Shelby Street, turning left and going .2 mile to the entrance of the cemetery. On a plat map, the cemetery is located in SE 1/4, Section 18, NE 1/4, Section 19, and NW 1/4, Section 40, T2N, R4E.
