According to Doctor Hew Scott, author of the Fasti of the Church of Scotland, Barbara Crawford, here treated, is the daughter of David Crawford of Auchenames Fasti III: 66 Evidence for the existence of David Crawford of Auchenames has not been found and, consequently, it seems possible that Scott was in error. The pedigree published by Stirnet suggests that Barbara may be the daughter of William Crawford of Auchenames but proof of paternity is wanting. Stirnet: Crawford 02
