<p>Barney Vining, 70, of Memphis, formerly of Greenway (Clay County),</p><p>passed away Monday, July 31 at the St. Francis Hospital in Memphis. </p><p>He was born in Warren August 10, 1924 a son of the late Leonard and</p><p>Myrtie Vaughn Vining. He was united in marriage to Lawanda Leonard</p><p>July 27, 1945, and to this union one daughter was born. He was</p><p>preceded in death by his wife, Lawanda. He is survived by one</p><p>daughter, Wanda Smith of Birmingham, Alabama; two grandchildren, Lisa</p><p>Gayle Smith of Norfolk, Virginia and Karen Lynn Hensley of Newport</p><p>News, Virginia; two great-grandsons, Brandon Smith and Logan Hensley;</p><p>one adopted son, James Ivey; one brother, Pete Vining; two sisters,</p><p>Willene McBride and Frankie Lou McKee; and a host of other relatives</p><p>and friends. Funeral services were Thursday, August 3 in the Hoggard</p><p>& Sons Chapel of Piggott with Kevin Murray officiating. Burial was in</p><p>Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway with Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in</p><p>charge of arrangements.</p><p> </p>Barney died 1995
