About Bea Marguerita Barrica Daleon
Killed by babysitter Karen Nenite De Luna. Bea had a seizure on Karen's rural property in Springhills-Tussock Creek Road in Springhills, Southland on 16 April. She was rushed to Invercargill Hospital but died several days later. The coroner found Bea had died from blunt force trauma to the head sustained in "non-accidental circumstances" while in Karen's care. The police issued a warrant for Karen's arrest for Bea's murder, but she had fled to the Philippines. Karen is one of New Zealand's most wanted international fugitives, but no extradition treaty exists between the two countries.
