About Beldon Beverly Reed
I recall going to visit Aunt Bert when we went to visit Grammie and Pappy (Walter Bowman) in Lykens, PA. I know she used to live with Grammie and Grampa (Joseph) Reed when they had the large family, but don't know whether she is the sisiter of Grammie or Grampa Reed. Her married name was Mrs. Willis Weaver. She lived in Tower City. I also remember Dad talking about a cousin, Brick Reed who was seemingly a "no good," a professional gambler.
Grammie gave Beldon the middle name of Beverly after a gifted preacher of the time. She had hoped he would become a minister.
