About Bella Riva
Born in Tukum. Married in 1878;she was 16, he was 22. She had one brother. She owned a strip of land with 6 shops and butchers area. This is where the Engelberg family became butchers here in Memphis from. They came to US in 1914 from Tukum. She was provider of the family, as Sam was a Torah scholar. They had 13 children; 3 died. She died one day after Sam; said her man was gone.
