About Benjamin Franklin Bomgardner
13 Nov 1942: Benjamin F. Bomgardner, engaged for twenty-seven years as a motorman by the Hershey Transit Company, and widely known to patrons of the line and other friends here, died on Thursday morning at the St. Joseph's Hospital, Lancaster. He was ill for some months. He was retired from the Hershey service about two years ago when he arrived at the age of 65 years. He was aged 67 years at the time of his death and resided at 124 Cocoa Avenue, Hershey. He leaves five children, Howard and Maynard, of Hershey, and Edward, Mrs. Margaret Wooten, and Mrs. Mabel Breon, at home; four grandchildren, and five sisters and brothers, Jacob and Richard, Mrs. Annie Demmy, and Mrs. Charles Bingaman and Miss Alice Bomgardner, all of Chambers Hill, a suburb of Hummelstown. The decedent was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Hershey, and the Hershey Volunteer Fire Company. [Lebanon Daily News]

Funeral on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, from Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Hershey. Services at the church. Interment at Paxtang Cemetery.
