Benjamin Franklin Brenneman, 92, a retired farmer and native of Madison township, died at 2:45 am Sunday in the home of his daughter, Mrs Cora Seese of East Waterford street.
His death was due to complications of age. He had been bedfast 21 months.
Funeral services were held at 2 pm Tuesday at the Olive Mennonite Church, of which he was a member, with the Rev Clarence Shank and the Rev Elno Steiner in charge. Burial was in Olive cemetery.
He was born Jan. 12, 1864, the son of Jacob and Sarah (Godshalk) Brenneman. His wife, Mary (Bixler) Brenneman preceded him in death in 1903. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs Seese of here, with whom he made his home, and Mrs Calvin (Edna) Newcomer of Mishawaka; a son, Lloyd Brenneman of Mishawaka; 19 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and one brother-in-law, Isaac Rodegeb of Madison township.
Friends were received after 2 o'clock Monday at the Lienhart Funeral Home until 1 o'clock Tuesday when the body was taken to the church for the service there at 2 o'clock.
