About Benjamin Franklin Deeter

Benjamin died of a lung abcess It probably resulted from injuries suffered in WW1. The Germans used Mustard Gas against the Allied troops. Mustard Gas produces abcesses on the lungs which causes liquid to fill up the lungs and death usually results. However, Benjamin lived for several years before finally sucumbing.

On July 26, 1911 Benjamin was shot in the left shoulder in Detroit Mi. This was bot bad enough to keep him from enlisting in 1917.
