Rev. Benjamin Eagle
TESLA - The Rev. Benjamin Harrison Eagle, 84, of Tesla, Braxton County, died Friday in Clarksburg V.A. Hospital.
Rev. Harrison, a retired minister, had been pastor of Elizabeth Chapel, Eakle Community Church, and Baer Run Chapel. He was also a farmer, a veteran of World War I, and a member of the American Legion, the Free Gospel Church and the DAV. He was a lifelong resident of Braxton County.
Surviving: wife, Treacy Jackson Eagle; son, Donnie of Vienna; daughters, Mrs. Ruth Marsh of Worthington, Mrs. Illene Fleming of Monongah, Mrs. Lucille Rhodes of Sutton; brother, Henry of Roanoke; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Service will be 3 p.m. Monday in Stump Chapel, Tesla, with the Rev. Chester Shaffer officiating. Burial will be in Tesla. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton.
