Revolutionary War Veteran. Served from 1776 - 1779/80?

Benjamin Lemasters was recuited into the 1st Virginia Regiment by a Lt Culp and took the oath on 1 October 1776. He enlisted for a three month period and joined a company commanded by William S Lewis of Staunton, Virginia. He served at: White Plains, Trenton, Princeton, Morristown (promoted to Sgt and re-enlisted), Brandywine Creek, Germantown, Fort Mifflin, Valley Forge, Monmouth Court House, Camp Robinson, Bound Brook, and Sandy Hook. Benjamin Lemasters' last muster was recorded on 7 May 1779.

Pension was granted in Nicholas County VA/WV in 1833, Cert # 16923.
