About Benjamin Harrison Menges
Indiana, 9th Infantry, 2nd Division, WW I, awarded the Distinguished Service Cross. Son of Henry T. and Martha A. Menges.
He lived in Bristol, IN with his mother in 1900 but by 1910 he was in Billings, Yellowstone, Montana working as a locomotive fireman. After his return from WW I, by 1920 he and his mother moved to Somerset Co, Maine where she managed a hotel and he was a chauffeur for a private family. By 1930 they had returned to Bristol, IN again. He was still living in Bristol in 1942 and died four years later.
