I, Benjamin Montgomery of Charles Co, MD, am in perfect health and memory, but calling to mind the uncertainty of this life, I make this, my last will.
To my brother Ignatius Montgomery - all of my land, it being part of a tract of land called Monmouth Enlarged. But if he dies without issue, then I bequeath the land to the heirs of my brother, Joseph Montgomery.
To my brothers Ignatius Montgomery and James Montgomery and my sister, Anne Mary Montgomery - all my moveable estate to be equally divided between them.
Exec: my brother Ignatius Montgomery
Signed 5 Nov 1775 - Benjamin (his X mark) Montgomery
Wit: William Turner, Randolph Turner, Francis (his X mark) Wheatley.
Probated by the oaths of witnesses William and Randolph Turner. Joseph Montgomery, the heir at law, being sick, did not attend.
