The son of Jacob Pyburn and Diadema Stapleton, Benjamin married Mary Jane Chitty. The couple moved to Conecuh County, just outside of Evergreen in the mid 1850's. The family cemetery there also had two wooden headstones for Ben and his wife, I am assuming the family also added stones here, and that Benjamin may not be buried here. A wheelwright, Benjamin had a large family in Jay.
