About Benjamin Aaron Spalding

Son of John Aaron and Nellie Mattingly Spalding was born in Washington County, Kentucky on April 8, 1798 and died in Ralls County, Missouri on February 20, 1873. He was a farmer, pioneer, and magistrate. He married Matilda A. Hager, daughter of James Hatton Hager and Monica Fenwick Hager, in Marion County Kentucky on November 13, 1821 (Washington County Marriage records by Burns 1792-1825 page 102 says Marriage intentions November 8, 1821). She was born in the same county on April 16, 1799 and died in Ralls County, Missouri on January 5, 1877. They are both buried in the old Brush Creek Cemetery.
