The 1688 Henry Stanton also had a wife named Lydia Albertson and they also had a son named Benjamin Stanton (1746-1798). It was this Benjamin that married Abigail Macy (1753-1825) and produced a son, David Stanton (1774-1827) who married Lucy Latham Norman, the parents of the War Secretary, Edwin McMasters Stanton (1814-1869).
