About Benjamin S Yoder
FREDERICKSBURG - Ben S. Yoder, 93, 7804 Salt Creek Road, died Friday, May 14, 2004, at his home, following an extended illness.
Services will be Monday at 9 a.m. at the Yoder residence with Bishop Atlee Troyer officiating. Burial will be at Yoder Cemetery on the family farm.
Friends may call anytime at the residence.
Arrangements are being handled by Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg.
He was born Jan. 18, 1911, in Wayne County to Simon L. and Sarah R. (Hershberger) Yoder and married Ella A. Burkholder on Dec. 7, 1933. She survives.
He was a retired farmer and member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He had made his home in Wayne County nearly all his life.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Dan (Mattie) Yoder of the home, Sovilla Yoder of the home, Mary Yoder of the home, Sarah (Rudy R.) Byler of Apple Creek, Mattie (Alfred J.) Schlabach of Fredericksburg, Gertie (Roman E.) Hershberger and Edna (Junior E.) Hershberger, both of Baltic; 35 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a brother, John Yoder of Middlefield and sisters, Emma Swartz of Monroe, Ind., Mary (Henry) Miller of Hartville and Sarah Miller of Shreve.
Three great-grandchildren, four brothers and four sisters died previously.
