About Benoni Unknown
Giles Corey married his third wife, Martha Rich, who had been admitted to the church at Salem Village. Martha had an illegitimate son, Benoni, who lived with Giles and Martha Cory. Martha had another son, Thomas, from her previous marriage to Henry Rich. Thomas petitioned for loss and damages resulting from his mother being hanged illegally and was awarded 50 pounds on 29 Jun 1723.[2]
