Bernard (Dov) Wigoder

David Jackson. Several mentions of Bernard in Myer Wigoder's book, My Life.. He went to the USA for a short while, returned to Lithuania and went to S.A. Moved to Cape town from Johannesburg during the Boer war. Record on ancestry of him arriving in Southampton from Cape Town in 1904 which states his age as 45 in 1904. Returns to Lithuania and displaced during WW1 when retreating Russians destroy villages.
My second brother Dov Ber [hereafter: Bernard] Naphtali Hertz. He was named Dov after my father’s father. My father named him Hertz after his deceased brother. Born on 19 Sivan 5619 [9 June 1859 O.S.]. The Chronicle of Myer Joel Wigoder
