Young Man Sentenced (1938)
Bernard Garth Rigby (20) was sentenced to imprisonment for six months by Mr. Justice Hutchins in the Criminal Court at Launceston yesterday when he was charged with having indecently assaulted a girl.
He pleaded guilty. Two other charges relating to the same offence were withdrawn.
Mr. H. J. Solomon (Tinning, Propsting, Masters, and Solomon), with Mr. D. M. Chambers, appeared for the Crown, and Mr. T. Shields, K.C. (Shields, Heritage, Stackhouse, and Martin) was for the defence.
