About Bernard Ernst Seidel
Ben was scheduled to go over to Europe in World War I but his camp was quarantined because of a flu epidemic. Just after the quarantine was lifted, the armistice was signed. He was head of one of the departments at American Laundry Machinery Company which made washing machines for battleships during World War II. He was chief of the volunteer fire department and Treasurer of Silverton, Ohio.
