BERT C. TURLEY
Bert C. Turley, 84, of Farmington, died February 3, at Farmington Community Hospital. He was born January 29, 1902 in Ste Genevieve County to the late Ignatius and Elisa Thurman Turley. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter in infancy.
Mr. Turley was retired from the Flat River Post Office as a letter carier. He was a member of NARFE and a decon of the Southern Baptist Church for many years. He and his wife had recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. He was a farmer, having lived his entire life in the Farmington area.
He is survived by his wife, Iva Pearl Pigg Turley of Farmington: one daughter, Velma (Mrs. Jerry Bannister of Bonne Terre); two sons: Robert E. Turley of Desloge and Ralph C. Turley of Farmington; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call 2 p.m. today at the Miller Funeral Home. Services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Miller Chapel with Rev. George E. Ormsbee officiating. Burial will be in the Three Rivers cemetery.
