Miss Bertha Bolling, 67, Mrs. Wilson's Sister, Is Dead. Succumbs to Heart Ailment in Her Apartment at Powhatan.
Miss Bertha Bolling, 67, a sister of Mrs. Woodrow Wilson, was found dead yesterday morning in her apartment at the Powhatan Hotel. She had suffered from a heart ailment for several years.
Miss Bolling died in her sleep, according to Dr. Sterling Ruffin.
A native of Wytheville, Va., Miss Bolling was noted for poetry and articles she had contributed to magazines. She was a member of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church and the Democratic Women's Club.
Only a few days ago Miss Bolling returned from Atlantic City, where she had been on a vacation. Her body was found after hotel employees had noticed she failed to answer calls.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock at St. John's Episcopal Church, Wytheville.
Surviving Miss Bolling, besides Mrs. Wilson, are three brothers, John Randolph, Julian and R. W. Bolling and another sister, Mrs. Alexander H. Galt.
