Bertha Renner, 92, 408 Second Ave., NE, Mandan, North Dakota, died Tuesday September 23, 1980, at a hospital in Bismarck, North Dakota.
The former Bertha Schmidt was born September 29, 1887 in Russia.
She came with her parents in 1901 to the St Anthony area, where she married Ambrose Renner, June 8, 1908. They farmed southwest of Mandan, until retiring and moving into Mandan, North Dakota in 1953. Ambrose died in 1971.
She is survived by five sons, Matt, Los Angeles, California; Nick and Lawrence, both of Mandan, North Dakota; Ed, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Tony, Moorhead, Minnesota; and nine daughters, Mrs Rose Mischel and Victor (Margaret) Kastner, both of Mandan, North Dakota; Mrs Clyde (Ida) Nelson in Minnesota; Mrs Hank (Eva) Homm and Mrs Leo (Mary) Moser, both of Seattle; Mrs Ralph (Bridget) Zander, Tacoma, Washington; Mrs Pete (Pauline) Messmer, Camarillo, California; Mel (Viola) Kruchten, Sun Praririe, Wisconsin; and Mrs P.M. (Clem) Willinganz, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; 42 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and a brother, Tom Schmidt, Seattle, Washington.
