Beryl Lamberth (1950 - 2005)
Brief overview:
Beryl (55), a University of Cape Town IT administrator who lived alone, was found on the floor of the lounge of her cottage in Riverside Terrace, by her son-in-law at 2am on 12th November 2005. Her throat had been slit. Beryl's daughter, who lives in Kommetjie, had tried to contact her and had later sent her husband to check on her mother. When he arrived at the house he found a chair jamming the dog flap in the back door keeping her two bull terriers in the back garden. Police investigators established that Lamberth's handbag and her vehicle were missing.
