Best F. Boatman, 74, of Pomeroy, died unexpectedly Saturday at his home. He was taken to Coatesville Hospital in the Pomeroy ambulance and pronounced dead on arrival. Officials said death resulted from a heart attack. The husband of the late Annie Henry Boatman, he was born in Pequea, a son of the late Harry and Abbie Bleacher Boatman. He had lived in Pomeroy 45 years and was a retired employee of Lukens Steel Co., Coatseville. He was a member of Keystone Lodge 569, F&AM; of Aerie 3338, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Coatesville, and of the Pomeroy Fire Co. Surviving are three brothers and four sisters: Lloyd C., Lancaster; Maris W., Conestoga R2; Dewey S., Holtwood R2; Mrs. Hanna Beach, Neffsville Brethren Home; Mrs. Ruth Andre, Lancaster; Mrs. Virgil Deatzel, Harrisburg, and Mrs. Tillie Ginger, St. Petersburg Fla.
