Asa Olive listed as surviving child by his mother, Elizabeth Grey Olive, Aug. 1855. Wake Marriage Bond 23 Nov. 1858, Asa Olive and Polly Barker, bondsman W.H. High, witness Thomas T. Hill, married 24 Nov. 1858, by R. M. Brown, JP. 1860 Census, Asa Olive 29 and Mary Olive 35. In Moore's Roster, Asa Olive enlisted as a private from Wake Co., 5-29-1861, in N.C. Regt. 26, Co. D; died in N.C. Oct. 1862.

your Lydia Ann Olive married Thomas Upchurch October 16, 1837, with Bondsmen John Crocker and witness Thomas J. Utley. I also have she was probably the twin of Tabitha Olive who married Paschal R. Upchurch. They were the daughters of Asa Olive and Elizabeth (Betsy) Gray. They had 8 children in all. Asa Olive was the son of Southwood and Nancy Ann Hendon Olive.
