About Beverly Jo Alvarez (Burris)

Mom was the most caring person I've ever known. Back home in Oregon she was part of the Kiwanis where she did the food for the needy, and she was the Rogue River chamber of Commerce. Mom was always there for me, it didn't matter what the problem she would find a way to fix it. She was alot of fun, I remember my first date. It was Mark, me, and Mom in Marks '51 chevy truck cruising Grants Pass listening to oldies. Mom loved her family, shopping, and yard sales. Her most wonderful memories were giving birth to her three girls, and her first time running the Miss Rogue River Pageant. Mom took the Miss Rooster Crow Queen Pageant and turned it into the Miss Rogue River Pageant. When Amber was crowned and stood up out of the sunroof of the limo mom was so proud. She had the happiest face I had ever seen. Growing up mom did alot with Dad, Susie and me. We would take off to Mexico, Big Bear, and the River. We were always dragging Grandma to Blythe. There was good times and bad but with mom I never cared about the bad. Sadly mom started getting sick by the time we moved to Oregon. But that didn't stop her, she kept right on a going until her body stopped. She loved Oregon, she would always say God meant people to live there. These are just some of my memories. I love Mom and there will always be a hole in my heart and soul with out her. I could go on all day about her but maybe someone else would like to add stuff from the past. Get some good stories about mom going so the family can have a laugh and a cry. - Renee
