Beverly Joan Clark

Obituary
Beverly Joan Dirkes Clark passed away July 17, 2011 from a battle with cancer. Mrs. Clark lived a rich life filled with family, friends, and social participation.

Beverly was born on May 20, 1930 to Ben and Josephine Dirkes in Billings. Mrs. Clarks two loves were the church and theater. She joined the St. Patricks choir at age 17 participating for an astounding 64 years until her death. She was an original member of the Billings Readers Guild which developed into Billings Studio Theatre. She served on the board as president and chairman. As an actress, Beverly also won two awards for Best Actress and another for her many years of service to the stage. Additionally, Beverly spent many hours as a volunteer with the Junior League, her work with the Catholic schools, and as a co-chairman with her husband for Mayfair.

She joins her husband, Russell C. Clark, in death. Beverly was honored to be his bride for 44 years. She is survived by her six children. Her daughter Debbie and Randy Reger, and her two sons, Russell C. and Leslie Clark Jr., and Michael Clark and Noreen Burris, all of Billings. Her daughters, Dawn and Bob Bennett of Missoula; Darcy and Jim Kelly of San Diego; Therese and Mike Nugent of Sonoma. Her grandchildren: J.R., Michael, and Joe Reger; Mattie Jo, R.C., Nick, Taylor, and Ben Clark; Michael Clark; Jim Kelly; Trish, Jack, Madigan, and Maggie Nugent. Along with three great-grandsons.

Beverly was a loving, caring and generous woman. When not quilting, her time was spent at the Ranch in Fishtail with her family and friends.

Memorials:
Memorials can be sent to St. Patricks Choir or Billings Studio Theatre.

Cemetery:
Committal will take place in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Service:
Vigil services will take place Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. with Funeral mass to be held on Thursday at 12:00 p.m. both at St. Patricks Co-Cathedral.
