Rear Admiral Beverly Mosby Coleman was the son of Victoria Stuart Mosby Coleman (buried at this cem), and Eugene "Watson" Coleman.
He married Eleanor Parrish Snyder (buried at this cem.) in 1919 in Washington, DC; they had the following children: Charles Parrish Coleman, and Victoria Mosby Coleman Fuller b. 29 Aug 1939, d. 06 May 1974 (buried at this cem.).
Beverly graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1922 and culminated his Naval career as a Rear Admiral.
- He was close to his grandfather, Col. John Singleton Mosby (buried at this cem.), although he was only a teenager when his grandfather died. Admiral Coleman gave help to Virgil Carrington Jones when he was writing his seminal work on Col., Mosby, published in 1944 and later authors, including local researchers Tom Evans and the late Jim Moyer. He was an active member of the Stuart Mosby Society and a frequent lecturer on his grandfather.
