About Billie Germaine Galindo

Billie Germaine Foreman went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 17, 2018 in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Billie was born January 19, 1962 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Patricia Jermaine (Botone) and William Glannister Foreman.

Billie was raised in Valdosta, Georgia with her loving siblings Kenneth Dean, Rosela Marie, Owassa Ione, Leonard Delos, Simona Beryl and Matthew Duncan.

Upon returning to Oklahoma Billie met and married her children’s father Anthony Joseph Galindo in Carnegie, Oklahoma. To them was born LaTonya Jo, Kari Lynn and Daryl Keith Galindo.

Ms. Foreman obtained her G.E.D and went on to earn her A.A. and B.S. at Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas. Billie earned a spot on the National Honor Society and proudly wore her cord. Haskell became a second family and home to Billie and her children were raised in Lawrence. Billie had an open door policy to many students and affectionately became Mom to many. She helped begin the Kiowa Cultural Club with many other Kiowa relatives and friends. At the age of 39 Billie played collegiate softball with girls half her age. She mentioned all the time how in her younger days of fast pitch her father witnessed her get a triple play by herself. Sports were a big part of her life and she was a fan of many events near and far. As an Oklahoma State Cowboys fan she stood alone in her fandom many times, yet she was the loudest cheerleader for her team. After her time at Haskell Ms. Foreman returned home to the Anadarko and Carnegie area and began to serve many regional tribes.

Her first endeavor landed at Western Delaware Nation of Oklahoma leading them to their modern casino. Next she worked for Kiowa Gaming Commission and designed their first casino at Burkburnett. She eventually worked for her brother Saul Botone at Botone Enterprises in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She came back to southwest Oklahoma to work for the Wichita & Affiliated Tribes in social services & tribal administration. Due to health decline she medically retired , again taking up her Kiowa style bead work which she was very accomplished. She was a southern cloth style powwow dancer serving as Head Lady Dancer throughout the Kansas,Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri powwow circuit. She was an advocate of Indigenous peoples rights and cultural awareness.

Billie was of Kiowa , Blackfeet, Sac & Fox, Absentee Shawnee, and Oneida decent. A member of the Kiowa Victory Club. She came from Kiowa chiefs Dohaushon, Lone Wolf, and Mountain Chief of the Blackfeet. Billie was adopted by The Whiteman family of Crow Nation whom she loved and adored.

She was preceded in death by Great grandparents Matthew and Hazel Lonewolf Botone , Grandparents Delos LoneWolf Botone and Florence Kittson, Mother Patricia Botone Kaubin and Charles E. Kaubin of Carnegie Oklahoma , Father William G.Foreman of Wynnewood, Oklahoma. Brother Kenneth ‘Cowboy’ Foreman. Daughter Kari Lynn Galindo, Adopted daughter Bernadine St.Clair of Ft.Washakie, Wyoming, and Grandchild Baby Prentiss Galindo.

Survived by daughter LaTonya Galindo Jumper, Hollywood, FL and son Daryl Keith Galindo of the home. Grandsons Arek Dalton Jumper, Hollywood, Florida and Javen Aaron of the home. Her only granddaughter Monica Rae Prentiss, Anadarko, Oklahoma. Her siblings Rosela, Owassa, Leonard, Simona and Matthew Foreman. Loving Aunts Franda Flyingman, Marilyn Bread, Penny Sparkman, Zelda Foreman, Bonnie Holm, and Margie Ford.
