About Billy Veneil Gordon
Billy Veneil Gordon passed away on February 20, 2006 at the Integris Baptist Hospital. He was born on May 26, 1931 to James and Anna Gordon in Marlow, Oklahoma. He has lived in the Lindsay area for 66 years. He worked for Rural Electric for 36 years until retirement. Billy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lindsay and a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing and playing dominoes at the Senior Citizen Center.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Harry Gordon, Kenneth Gordon and one sister, Mildred Gordon.
He is survived by his loving wife, Oglene Gordon, two sons; Terry and Lori Gordon of Washington, Oklahoma, Tony Gordon and Renee Frederick of Lindsay, Oklahoma. Bill is also survived by his brothers, Stanley Gordon of Wichita, Kansas, Melvin J. Gordon of Dallas, Texas, one sister, Geneva Bland of Hobart, Oklahoma, and five grandchildren; Miles and Shea Gordon, Cassie Gordon, Mac Gordon and Chance Frederick.
Services for Bill will be held at the First Baptist Church on Thursday, February 23, 2006 at 10:30 am. Interment will be at the Green Hill Cemetery.
In honor of Bill's military service during the Korean War the American Legion will play Taps and present Oglene with the American Flag.
