Shiver - Camilla - Billy Charles Shiver, 68, of 114 Little Mill Creek Lane, Cairo, died Saturday, January 3, 2004 at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA. Graveside funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Mount Zion Cemetery. Born June 23, 1935 in Mitchell County, Mr. Shiver was a carpenter and painter and was a Korean War Veteran of the U. S. Army. He was the son of the late Roy and Lessie (Sauser) Shiver. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Willis Shiver of Cairo; three sisters, Dorothy Sexton of Hayesville, N.C., Martha Glover of Cairo, and Patricia Simpson of Pelham; four brothers, the Rev. Frank Shiver of Callahan, FL., Jimmy Shiver of Spring Hill, TN., Floyd Shiver of Jacksonville, FL., and Roscoe Shiver of Thomasville; and three stepdaughters, Joyce Thompson, Darline Dupree and Gail Sorrell, all of Cairo. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
