About Billy Alphia Wright
Billy A. Wright, 71, of Blackgum community died Tuesday, August 17, 2004, in Vian, Oklahoma. He was born August 6, 1933, in Blackgum community. He was a retired heavy equipment operator from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, a member of Blackgum First Baptist Church an Army veteran of te Korean War, and a member of Sallisaw Masonic Lodge No. 120 AF&AM and VFW Post No. 4609.
Funeral was held at 10 a.m. at Blackgum First Baptist Church with burial at Box Cemetery north of Vian under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
He is survived by his wife, a son, five sisters, two brothers, and two grandchildren.
