About Blanche Alexandrine Bowlby

The marriage of 28yo George Herbert Bowlby and 22yo Blanche Alexandrine Seagram took place on 18 April 1894 in Berlin (later re-named Kitchener), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.

Two years after her husband was killed in England while serving in the first World War, she died of internal hemorrhage due to injuries sustained in a car accident in Kitchener; she was 47 years of age. Note: It is known that her remains were cremated at the Mount Royal Crematorium in Montreal. It is probable that her ashes were returned to Kitchener to be placed in a niche beside the urn of her husband at the Church of St. John the Evangelist.
