About Bottolf Simonson
Bottolf's parents were Ole Simonson (born in Norway, 1793-1794) and Marthe Nilsdatter (born Norway, 1803-1804). His siblings born in Norway were Jens Olsen, born 22 September 1826; Niels Olsen, born 4 August 1828; Simon Olsen, born 28 February 1831; Ole Olsen, born 29 May 1836; and Nils Olsen, born 17 November 1841.
B.O. Simonson one of the early settlers of this township, died April 16th and was laid to rest in the Lutheran cemetery, Manchester, the following Thursday, Rev. J.J. Strand conducted the funeral services and many relatives, old friends and neighbors followed him to his last resting place. He leaves a wife and four children besides many relatives to mourn his untimely death. Disease, cancer of the stomach. Our sympathies are extended to the bereaved family in their hour of sorrow.
