About Boyd Carson Wilson
December 6, 1915 in Payson, Utah, a son of Clarence LeRoy and Nellie Louise Carson Wilson. He married Jennie V. Tanner, June 26, 1937 in Payson. Their marriage was solemnized December 1, 1952 in the Manti LDS Temple. They just celebrated 65 years of marriage.
Boyd had been employed as a foreman for Strawberry Highline Water Users. He was then employed at Geneva Steel until his retirement. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various positions. He always loved horses and trained and raised them in his youth. He was an active member of the Cockleburr Riding Club for many years. Most family vacations included camping and riding. He loved growing a vegetable garden, but his greatest love was to spend time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include: his wife, Jennie, of Payson; two sons and a daughter, Kenneth G. (Kathryn) Wilson, Oxford, Ohio; Carol Sue (James) Mortensen, Payson; Brent L. (Ann) Wilson, Salt Lake City; 12 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; a sister, Thelma (Francis) Chapman. He was preceded in death by: a son, Scott B. Wilson; and two brothers, LeRoy and Cornell Wilson.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 26, 2002, 11:00 a.m. in the Mtn. View 5th LDS Ward Chapel, 681 East 500 North, Payson. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Thursday, 6-7:30 p.m. or at the Church Friday, 9:45-10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery.
