Bradley C. Gohl, 51, of Alpena, died after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, November 7, 2016 at home surrounded by his family.
Brad was born February 15, 1965 in Alpena to Charles and Grace (Burnham) Gohl. Brad was very gifted when it came to fixing anything mechanical or fabricating something from nothing as was evident with the wood splitter he fabricated entirely from nothing, his dump trailer – both of which had hydraulics, or the wood stove he built in the garage and piped into the house. There wasn’t much that he couldn’t do. He strongly believed in American made products which included Harley Davidson, GMC and especially Jeep. Brad enjoyed collecting antiques, many different novelties, and scrap as well. Brad was a family man who enjoyed helping others whenever possible.
Brad is survived by his daughter; Shelby (Curt) Douglas, both parents, two sisters; Kimberly (Bernard II) Borowski, Pamela (Dave Fox) Gohl-Thompson, three nieces and nephews; Stehness Yennior, Shane Thompson, Sam Thompson, a great nephew; Ervin Ritthaler III, and many other family and friends.
Visitation will be at McWilliams Funeral Home – Alpena on Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 2p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4p.m. with Pastor Susan Platt officiating.
