Biography
Bridget Roberts was baptised 7 April 1739 at St Just daughter of Thomas Roberts 1704-1747 and Phillis Edwards. Her parents married on 6 Nov 1733 at St Just. Bridget Wallis of Tredinney buried 19 Feb 1816 aged 78 at St Buryan [[PR]. Phillis was baptised 22 Feb 1707 at St Just daughter of Hugh Edwards 1684 and Elizabeth Oates, and had a brother Hugh Edwards born in 1712 who married Ann Richards on 1 Nov 1730 at St Just. Bridget Roberts 1739-1816 married Thomas Wallis on 2 March 1772 at St.Buryan. Bridget Wallis of Tredinney was buried 19 Feb 1816 aged 78 at St Buryan [PR]. The name Bridget passes down to descendants of Thomas and Bridget and does not appear elsewhere amongst the Wallises of St Just and St Buryan. Bridget's son Robert Wallis also married a Phillis Edwards, and named his second daughter Phillis Edwards after her mother.
